Mixed Media Camp

Ages 4 to 8

$220 per session

Spend the week exploring multiple types of mediums, their limits, strengths, and weaknesses. Students will explore acrylics, watercolor, pastels, clay, mosaic, fibers, Ink, charcoal, sculpture,  printmaking, digital art, and more! This camp is designed for kids with a natural tendency to explore and create in an open studio type of setting.

Rock ‘n’ Roll Camp

Full Day Session:
June 23 – June 27

Ages 8 and up

$420 per student

FULL DAY CAMP – A great introduction to guitar, bass, drums and piano, spend your mornings exploring instruments, basic theory, music composition, and lyric writing with Josh. You will learn the structure around band development and create original music with other students, recording your pieces at the end of the week. In the afternoon, Aubrey will focus on band branding, logo development, advertisement, set design and the visual arts of promoting and performing with a band. This unique experience is brought to us through Musik Makers. No previous musical experience required.

Art in Nature Camp

Session 1: June 30 – July 3: AM (Ms. Christine)

(This is a 4-day camp)

Ages 5 and up

$220 per student

Does your child love creating outdoors? Students in this camp will spend the week creating outside in nature, using nature to create art, and the connections between artists and nature. They will explore elements of art not found in a studio, but rather in the natural world. Plan to be outside the majority of the day and get messy! We will spend most of the time in Creative Learning Lab’s back yard space.

Artist Exploration

Session 1: July 7 – July 11: AM (Ms. Aubrey)

Ages 7 and up

How did we get there, artistically? We’ll learn about some of the most prolific and prominent artists in history, past and present. From painting upside down like Michelangelo, to Pollock’s splatter painting or Kusama’s repetitions to Banksy’s pops of color, learn what makes each artists unique and create a piece in their style. Mediums will include acrylics, watercolor, ceramics, sculpture, illustration, paper, and more.

Introduction to Illustration

Session 1: July 14 – July 18: AM (Ms. Aubrey)

An introductory studio illustration camp, we will focus on illustration fundamentals such as understanding shapes, lines, and colors, as well as mastering various drawing techniques like sketching, shading, and detailing. Students will use a combination of traditional tools like pencils, ink, and paint. The works created during this camp will utilize subjects from observation and imagination, applying design and composition principles to enhance individual creative concepts.

No prior experience needed.

Introduction to Painting

Session 1: July 21 – July 25: AM (Ms. Aubrey)

Jumping off of a week of Illustration, students will study different types of painting mediums, styles, and techniques.

No prior experience needed.

STEAM Camp

Ages 5 and up

Science, technology, engineering, arts and math… here we go! Students will spend the day creating and experimenting with slime/oobleck, marble mazes, egg drops, volcanoes, animal habitats,  architectural designs, boat construction, homemade playdoh, bridge building, cyanotype, jitterbugs, and so much more. Perfect for the child who loves tinkering!

Music and Art for Littles

Session 1: Aug 4 - Aug 8: AM (Ms. Christine)

Ages 5 and up

One of our most popular camps, this camp is the littles who just need to get their creativity and energy out! We will incorporate our Music and Movement class and Toddler Art class to create a fun and interactive art and music experience for the littles. Plan on getting messy in this camp!

Bob Ross for Kids

Session 1: Aug 11 – Aug 15: AM
Ages 6 to 9 (Mr. Chris)

Ages 10 and up (Ms. Chris)

(Includes $50 kits)

Spend a few hours learning how to paint like Bob Ross from a certified Bob Ross Instructor. Kids will use acrylic paint to create one piece a day in the Bob Ross style. Additional activities are incorporated throughout the week.
Supply Kits included with tuition but are yours to keep!

Crafting Craziness

End the summer strong with our no-holds-barred crafting camp! Students will have a chance to explore all types of crafting mediums, including clay, glass, wood, fiber, charcoal, paint, cardboard, beading, styrofoam, felt, fabrics, recyclables and more. Learn that art can be created from anything!
